Emergency Department

The Department of Emergency is the face of the hospital and also one of its main pillars. It provides round the clock services which include any acute illness and cases which the patients and their relatives consider them to be attended immediately.

The Entrance is a closed compact area comprising Reception, Registration, Accounts and Admission counters. A Waiting Area for the patients and their attendants with seating arrangement is also provided.

The Treatment Area has been divided into three zones keeping the serious nature of the illness in mind:

• The Green Zone has been ear-marked to cater to Non Serious patients.
• The Red Zone handles critically ill patients.
• The Yellow Zone treats the moderately sick.
• Endoscopic skull base surgeries.
• Transnasal surgery for brain tumours such as pituitary adenomas, chordomas, meningiomas.
• All throat including tonsillitis and adenoid. Sugar check for oral malignancies.
• Microscopic laryngeal surgery for voice disorders.

Emergency ECG, Blood sugar, ABG and X rays are done as per requirement.

For critically ill medical and trauma patients specialists on call are contacted for their opinion and immediate intervention.
